Volunteer Opportunities

What is a volunteer?

Someone who freely offers to take part in an enterprise or undertake a task. Our Sylacauga Area Habitat for Humanity (SAHFH) volunteers give their time willingly for the common good and without financial gain. SAHFH is always seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Friend Raising

Friend raising is a form of fundraising that involves befriending an organization or individual for the purpose of supporting the financial aspect of a charity, nonprofit group or other community benefit organization.

House Construction

House construction has a wide variety of groups to consider. Ranging from drywall hanging and siding to roofing and cabinetry.

Homeowner Involvement

Involved with applicant screening/interviews. Serve as a "Family Partner". Be involved with the house property selection process and many more endeavors.

Leadership Committee

Leadership committee serves as a "House Leader" or "Crew Leader" for one home. Leader ship committee involves leading landscaping groups, church relations, family partners, and etc.
